When the Buddha was asked if he'd rather go to heaven or hell, he chose hell.
"It seems everyone is well in heaven, what will I do there? I'm incapable of suffering and everyone is suffering in hell, let me go there and do something about it"
They say that the enlightened yogis experience no suffering. No emotional, physical or existential suffering. They just are, regardless of their situation.
They feel joyful whether they're the CEO of Apple or cleaning toilets.
Which is the reverse of the rest of us.
We do so that we can be successful so that we can feel joyful.
Imagine being so joyful, no matter the scenario, that everything you do is blissful?
Then what would you do? Surely only that which is good for your family, your neighbours and the planet.
